After celebrating Pentecost two weeks ago, when the Holy Spirit was sent to ‘make a home’ in us, and the Blessed Trinity last week, when we saw that we are invited to share in the inner life of God, who is Love, this week we return once again to the centre, the ‘still point’, the ‘omega point’, as we celebrate the most amazing gift of all left to us by Jesus – his own body and blood. 

God IS love, and in us, the “image and likeness of God” is seen and experienced every time we reach out in love to another person and every time we allow ourselves to accept the love of another person.  
“To love another person is to see the face of God.” This is the very last line of the musical Les Miserables. It is a line that that is worth remembering, and a line to return to in prayer.
