Irish Bishops Statement affirming Human Life

When Jesus says “do not be afraid…”, it is right that we sit up straight, listen to what he says, and try to understand why he says it.

Traditionally month of June is dedicated  to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This devotion focuses on God's boundless, burning love and mercy for humanity. 

Novena continues here in St Johns's Cathedral.

Corpus Christi translates from Latin as the Body of Christ. Formally named the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, this feast explicitly honors the Real Presence  of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist—His body, blood, soul, and divinity. 

Love is always at the centre. It is Love that is always active. It is ONLY Love that is at work.

It is Love the came to us in Jesus (the Son).

Our hope is in the one person who defeated death, and who now lives in us through the Holy Spirit, and who will come again. That person is Jesus. 
….And no earthly Kingdom or King can stop him. 

Today's Gospel brings consolation to the followers of Jesus living in the ‘tweentime’ of Resurrection and Pentecost. It helps us through confusion and doubt, sustaining us while we wait for the Kingdom of God to be fully realised.
