The Lord demands of us the courage to have a love that does not count the cost. Because the measure of Jesus is love without measure. 

God forgives…” Pope Francis writes, “… not with a decree, but with a caress, caressing our wounds of sin.”and “With a tenderness which never disappoints… he makes it possible for us to lift up our heads and start anew.” (EG 3)

– we are “the poor, the gentle, the mourners, the fighters for justice, the merciful, the peacemakers and the persecuted” … and our light must shine for all to see.

The “Sermon on the Mount” is to be lived, one tiny step at a time, one day, one encounter, one simple word at a time.

Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways.
